We have developed the Gene Mining System, which is based on a variety of different approaches and databases, in combination with the capability to search for gene information by using a full text literature search.

We are also developing data mining tools that are better able to correlate putative biological gene functions using the information contained in the literature. These tools will have the ability to:

  • integrate bibliographic data in biology related fields with bioinformatics tools supporting gene function analysis.
  • facilitate understanding of the structural/functional organization of genes in different biological systems.
