Sequence Similarity Analysis Tools

WSFasta and WSWUBlast

WSFasta and WSWUBlast, give programmatic access to the Fasta and WU-Blast sequence similarity searching services at EBI.

These SOAP services are implemented in java using the Apache Axis framework and deliver sequence data from EMBL, SWISS-PROT/TrEMBL, InterPro protein families, MEDLINE literature abstracts, protein structure data from PDB, and others.

Example client code in both java and perl is available for download from the above links.
